(내가 내린 정의)
Liquidity crisis is the crisis caused by loss of liquidity(cash). For example, when Lehman brothers which made loans for many companies collapsed, companies relying on the bank went bankruptcy, though they were solvent with the loans. Asian states experienced liquidity crisis in 90's. At first it was the only crisis of Thailand as Baht was losing its value. But panic spread contagiously since investors run out of neighboring Asian markets withdrawing their asset. Therefore Neighboring states had to face liquidity crisis.
Insolvency is the state of being not able to meet financial obligation, which is mostly caused by the mismanagement. While individual actors are not likely to responsible for liquidity crisis When companies or states are insolvent, It's their fault. Often, Insolvency and Liquidity crisis occur at the same time but it needs to be differentiated.
